Sharing can be hard for kids! The Boy Who Wouldn’t Share by Mike Reiss and illustrated by David Catrow is a silly book telling a familiar story. Edward is a little boy with a mountain of toys. But even though he can’t possibly play with them all, he won’t share with his sister. With a sour expression on his face, Edward crankily hoards his toys. Spoilers… he decides to share and he has fun with his sister. Fun rhyming storytelling accompanies uniquely illustrated drawings that add to the silly tone that my kids really enjoy. Although this isn’t one of my personal favorites, the giggles it caused every time we read it made it worth rereading. This book gets bonus points for encouraging sharing.
