We’re All Wonders

My kids grabbed this gem from the library. We’re All Wonders is written and illustrated by R.J. Palacio, the same author of the best selling novel Wonder. I haven’t read Wonder yet, however my 12 year old has and loved it. But even he enjoyed this picture book. This simple story makes the lesson of Wonder easy for even very young kids to understand. This story is about a boy that is ordinary in many ways with the exception of his face. Other kids tease him because he looks different, but he knows he is a wonder. I love the message that you don’t need to change to be accepted, it is the world that needs to learn to be more accepting of diversity and widen their definition of beauty. It’s important not to judge a book by its cover, but this book delivers exactly what the cover promises… a story that tells us we are all wonders. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
